On the auspicious occasion of the 100th birth anniversary year of Shri Har Prasad Shastri, Dr Praveen Shukla was conferred the honor of ‘Sahitya Manishi’ for his contributions to Hindi Literature. This award was presented to him in Long Island, New York by Executive Board Director of The H.P. Shastri Charitable Foundation, Dr Satya Prakash Sharma, and Secretary Mrs. Madhu Sharma. Also contributing in this ceremony were Executive Board Director Mr Jitender Kumar, and Mr Anoop Bhargava who is known for his services to promote Hindi literature across the world. Thereafter, via international zoom meeting, an online congress of poets presented their compositions. These included Ms Neetu Gupta from San Francisco, Ms Anyada (daughter of literature, Padmshri Yashpal Jain), Mrs. Shakuntla Sharma from Seattle, as well as Ms Kadambari, among others.
On behalf of H. P. Shastri Charitable Foundation, Mr. Jitender Kumar updated everyone on the upcoming festivities being planned in the honor of Mr Shastri’s 100th birth anniversary which will be held in Ghaziabad, India October 14-15 , 2023. A highlight of these celebrations will be an International Congress of Hindi poets who will present their works in a Kavi Sammelan, since Hindi poetry was so dear to Mr Shastri.
Mrs Madhu Sharma moderated the online meeting. It concluded with Dr Satya Prakash Sharma thanking everyone for their time, efforts and enthusiasm while invoking Goddess Saraswati to continue to shower everyone with knowledge and wisdom.
